ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
The staff at Madrona Elementary work hard to get to know our students and their families. Each fall all teachers spend one week visiting each of their student’s homes
so that they can connect with the parents and give them some information about what their child will be learning in the coming year. It is also an opportunity to allow the parents to associate a face with a name and open the door for better communication between home and school. We serve about 625 students kindergarten through sixth grade. We have great partnerships established with organizations in the community such as the Des Moines Food Bank, The SeaTac Rotary Club and Alaska Airlines. All of these organizations work with us to make Madrona a better place for our students and their families.
Los empleados de la escuela primaria Madrona trabajan arduamente para conocer a nuestros estudiantes y sus familias. Cada Otoño los maestros se dedican por una semana a visitar los hogares de cada familia, se estrechan lazos con los padres y se entrega información respecto a que estarán los niños aprendiendo durante el año. También es una oportunidad para permitir que los padres asocien una cara y se habrá la puerta hacia una buena comunicación entre los padres y la escuela. Tenemos alrededor de 625 estudiantes desde el kindergarten al sexto grado. Tenemos buenas relaciones con organizaciones de la comunidad tales como el Banco de comida de Des Moines, el Rotary Club de Sea Tac y por ultimo la aerolínea Alaska. Trabajamos en conjunto con todas estas organizaciones para hacer de Madrona un lugar mejor para nuestros estudiantes y familias.
